ACCESSIBILTY INFORMATION

The Yorkshire Bridge Inn dates back to at least 1826. The building has been developed over a number of years and retains many original features as well as some recent additions, such as the spacious conservatory and our Bridge Room dining room. We have also converted parts of the property to offer guest accommodation. The team here are happy to help if you need extra assistance. Please contact us if you wish to discuss any special requirements or the general suitability of The Yorkshire Bridge Inn.

Pre Arrival

We have a website: www.yorkshirebridgeinn.co.uk which can be zoomed in and enlarged. Our menus can be viewed on our website and there are photos of our guest bedrooms.

Table bookings, room bookings and general enquiries can be made via the website or by phone (Tel: 01433 651361).

There is a bus service that stops outside the property.

The nearest train station is at Bamford, which is 2 miles away at the lower end of the village. The Yorkshire Bridge Inn can be found to the north of the village of Bamford. There are no taxis at the station but we can book a taxi if we have advance notice.

Parking bays for guests can be found at the front and rear of the inn.

We have cycle racks, a cycle repair unit and water bottle filling station. We can provide locked cycle storage facilities for guests staying overnight.

Arrival

The main property is accessed via the front door or the back door.

The front car park comprises three parking spaces adjacent to the main entrance and ample parking throughout the rest of the car park. The car park is level, has a tarmac surface and is lit from dusk onwards. There is a gentle slope to the main entrance door with no steps or ramps. At the main entrance door there is a small threshold up into the carpeted porch. From the porch there is a second door into the property, which leads onto a tiled floor with handrails to the side.

There is level disabled parking on the roadside adjacent to our garden and clearly marked for disabled use only.

The rear car park is level, has a tarmac surface and is lit from dusk onwards. There is a lower level overflow car park which is gravelled and accessed via a slope or via steps from the rear car park. From the rear car park to the rear entrance of the property there is a flight of 13 stone steps and an upward slope in the courtyard area. There is an upward slope to the rear entrance. There is a small fence leading to the back door. At this door there is a small threshold up into the tiled entrance hall. The hall is approximately three metres long and leads to a door which opens into the main property which is predominantly carpeted.

The reception desk is located in the main part of the building at the far end of the bar.

We offer assistance with luggage to all our overnight guests.

If you are staying overnight with us you will be asked to register at the reception desk which is on ground floor level. Once you have registered we will escort you to your guest room and we can assist you with your luggage.

Public Areas

A range of different indoor seating areas is available, all offering a variety of seating including chairs with arms. The conservatory has a tiled floor, good lighting and ceiling fans. All other areas have varied levels of lighting and are carpeted, with the exception of the metre immediately in front of the bar and the entrance halls, which are tiled. All of these main areas of the property are on one level and have no steps or slopes. Whilst we do not have a mobility grading are welcome wheelchair users to either dine or stay with us.

Outside seating areas include the courtyard, which has wooden picnic bench style seating, and the patio which has level access from the front car park and traditional style table and chairs seating. Access to the main building from the patio is via steps with a handrail.

Menus can be provided in large print and our staff can assist if required.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals are readily available and most special dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.

Background music is played throughout the bar and dining areas.

Public toilets are located in the tiled entrance hall leading to the rear door. They comprise ladies, gents and an accessible toilet, with an emergency pull cord, that also includes a baby changing station.

Guest Bedrooms

Guest bedrooms are located in a part of the property designated for residents only. Some of our guest rooms can be accessed (via a key) directly from the rear car park or courtyard and can therefore be more easily utilised by guests with mobility problems. Due to the age and layout of the building we do not have a lift. There is a toilet frame available for any guest who may require it.

The fire alarm system consists of bells and sirens which will ring continuously if evacuation is needed – there are no flashing lights. If you need assistance with emergency evacuation should an alarm sound, please notify us on arrival.
